THE FROGS AND THE TOWER

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs...

... who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants...

The race began...

Honestly, no-one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. You heard statements such as:

"Oh, WAY too difficult!!"

"They will NEVER make it to the top".

"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one...

... Except for those who in a fresh tempo were climbing higher and higher...

The crowd continued to yell

"It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up...

...But ONE continued higher and higher and higher...

This one wouldn't give up!

At the end, everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how the one who succeeded had found the strength to reach the goal?

It turned out...

That the winner was deaf.

You and I, as well as our other kindered spirits, will all make it to the top!.
Now why does the Masterwordsmith sound so down home to me? I feel like we have been living in the same house for years. Are you sure you are not from Pennsylvania? I got lots of kinfolk there.

Dear Walt,

Thanks for the reassuring words...I must say that in the past, I used to be disheartened by the words of others but like the deaf frog, I have grown wiser and now I strive to find my life's purpose on this earth :-); sometimes I may stumble and fall but other times I do succeed and what is important is that I maximize whatever that I have to find my place in this world and in the process, grow wiser.

:-) We are connected because we have the same perspective, source and philosophy....I come from Penang, West Malaysia and do hope to visit Pennsylvania one day. Have only been to the West coast twice...

Take care, Walt and blessings to you and yours. Have a good week!

Penang the "the White Man's Grave", or so it has been said; only adds to the mystique of our very unique, "OH BOY, I'D BETTER STOP HERE. I'M STARTING TO SOUND LIKE A BAD POET!" Besides if you are really my soul sister, you know all to well what I was going to say.

Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet,
Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God's great Judgment Seat;
But there is neither East nor West, Border, nor Breed, nor Birth,
When two strong (souls) stand face to face,
tho' they come from the ends of the earth!

FORGIVE ME Kipling.

Definitely connected as soul siblings!!!

Seriously, before I read the second paragraph, the line that came to me in my mind was 'as far as the est is from the west, our minds are connected..." and then i read what you wrote!

Amazing!!! Don't lose touch, ok?

Take care, Walt and have a great weekend!
